I was born on May 13, 1978, in Lisbon.

Passionate about writing, music, animals … I’m in love with the world. I’m passionate about everything that involves human behavior and their motivations.
I graduated in psychology, and forensics is my passion. I’m fascinated with everything that is unusual.

I’ve worked as a freelancer since 2013. Copywriter, Articles, Reviews, Blogs…If the need is to write, that’s me! Here, I’ll share a bit of me and my life, my passions, my experiences, opinions and how I see the world.

I write about everything and sometimes about nothing. From my experience as a migrant (Portuguese but living in Sunny Barcelona), revisited stories from the past, things we like and dislike, things that warm my heart and others that afflict me, the silly things my dogs do, and of course, the simple things of being a woman … here, I set my mind free and it happens, as the name says…Sofia Writes. It is my best way of expression.

I’m also an experienced translator (English-European Portuguese; Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese; Brazilian Portuguese; Spanish – English).
